How does one go about becoming an event coordinator?

I live in Texas and am interested in event coordinating (focus on weddings) and interior design. I know how to achieve the latter, but the former doesn’t appear to have any degree or school associated with it. Any help?

Your chances are greater if you do have a degree. Check with Texas Tech on this subject. They have a great program.
