Can camp and caricatures tiring? Well, they can.
If that's all there.
"The Spirit" shows that not all comics also translate to the big screen. Batman, remember, had all the great toys to play The Joker. And Batman was blessed with consistently witty dialogue. But Frank Miller's attempt to throw the end of the great Will Eisner's The Spirit is on the screen never as great as his work trying to make them. His "Sin City" or a few years ago was the genius, the mind is less.
All the while the gaglines than his fight for real laughs, his painted women simply extended Cartoons. Although I am a big fan of bizarre visual comedy to the screen, I found myself bored with visuals, the bright Artistry flowed though, with bursts of creativity in tone and mood calculated triggering sounds, but their energy and commitment levels remain worrying level. In a word, I kept waiting for a jerk of the visual Momentum was with the "Sin City" full.
And the plot? Limited internal mood here. Nothing catchy about it anyway – will probably be not so – So we all look fun. The point in disappointment of the film is obvious: On paper, comic side, was the spirit of the whole eye-catcher, Will Eisner's images could Overflow and practically explodes off the limited-panel cartoonists. They were larger than the print layout. On the screen, but they are smaller, and they have not noticed that the restriction in the case of the mind. Throughout his personality, he has not so much to him as the other superheroes.
Some historical perspective first:
Will Eisner was the most famous comic book artist of all time. While major market for comic books began in the 1930s (comics worked in the Mid-19th Century was known), Will Eisner's famous "The Spirit", which was on a Sunday morning landmarks of American culture for 12 years.
On 2 June 1940, put together the young Eisner, for newspaper editors, who seek to compete with comic books, then 7-page 8-page volume. Sunday would complement one 16 pages and would soon be two more creations Eisner, "Lady Luck" and "Mr. Mystic."
But it is the spirit that the leg would be provocative, with a Batman-like urban crime fighter completely vulnerable to deadly bullets and all, but moved with daring-do action and shadow with the evil simply could not compete. His alter ego was every-man Denny Colt, which everyone had thought was dead. The female interests were three: the beautiful and temperamental Ellen Dolan, who was the daughter of the chief of police, the sultry jewel thief Sand Saref and the sexiest woman in the world, the international P'Gell bad girl (unfortunately for us Guys who are not in the film).
The Spirit's sidekick Ebony White was an orphaned child, African American, The Spirit's surrogate son, not even ( ) in the film.
The exploits of the masked hero – whose base was in the tombstone of Denny Colt, a rookie policeman who believed that the deceased will be removed – was held in dark alleys of the dark, this sound very much in keeping with the dark themes of the films of Humphrey Bogart, George Raft and The Thin Man
His figures in Central City were usually overlooked the little people who go as moments of life. And the Spirit itself seemed the natural comedy of life, surrounded as he is still often pushed around and shot at with machine guns, not to say that beautiful women in a quandary.
But it was the style of Eisner's Spirit was so amazing. This perfect imaginative, brightly expressive artist would continue to be the most important artists of the 1951-58 Mad comics (precursor Mad Magazine). He was the first comic strip artist, to let his characters and their actions broke the control panel of the strip boundaries, breaks out on the page. No one had ever before entertained the idea. Commonplace in today's comics This was quite the innovation in his time. Eisner went on to invent cartoon characters to Uncle Sam, Blackhawk, Sheena, and many others. The Eisner Award, the Oscar of the comic book industry is named after him.
So, "The Spirit" of the film.
His arch-enemy in this episode is the OCTOPUS (Samuel L. Jackson), a cold-hearted villain of pure destructive intentions. As he seeks immortality, he sees his mission as the first extinction The Spirit's beloved Central City. The mind will follow the Octopus through the deep recesses, dark alleys, the wet and damp caves of night. It will involve various sexy beauties: the ever-more sophisticated no-nonsense Ellen Dolan (Sarah Paulson), the punk, frigid and sassy secretary Silken Floss (Scarlett Johansson), the treacherous nightclub dancer Plaster of Paris (Paz Vega), the phantom siren Lorelei (Jaime King) and the sexy cop Morgenstern (Stana Katic).
Finally, forget and hard to be angry The Spirit's love object, Sand Saref (Eva Mendes), the world-class jewel thief, a good girl gone bad. He can save, or it may kill him. Who knows what? (As already mentioned, is the ultimate sexy P'Gell, from the original comics, not in the movie.)
If you have never seen "Sin City" This could be a little treat for you. It's art for sure. Very flamboyant, very eccentric, with some truly unusual cartoon mood of the city.

Films have personalities. It doesn’t matter who wrote it, who directs it, who stars in it, if it doesn’t reach out to you with charisma. I examine its honesty and intelligence. Are you being respected, or are you being jerked around?
